Shepard Fairey’s Obama portrait unleashed a wave of amazing art done in honor of our President-elect, Barack Obama. We’ve done some searching and compiled a gallery of some of the best pieces done to help spread the message and image of Obama.

Obama is a hero to many. Los Angeles based artist Mr. Brainwash felt putting Obama's head on Superman's body was an adequate way of portraying our hero-like and globally embraced President-elect.

Interactive art by GumElection.com. I go to school in Boulder, Colorado and have seen the poster shown in the photo-- One night I saw some kids move all of the gums pieces off of Obama and onto McCain.

San Francisco street artist "Eddie" has Obama wearing a New Era hat. His way of implying that Obama will usher in a New Era in America.

Artist jerm9ine states that this piece is meant to show how, "part of mlk's dream has been brought to fruition. this is meant as a celebration of that profound step towards equality for all."

Obama even sort of gave artists permission to deface stops signs. All stickers from StickerRobot.com.
